FAQ

Common questions.

What's the difference between the plans?

Starter is free and covers bank transfer links up to ₦500,000/month — great for getting started. Business adds card + USSD channels, storefronts, payouts, and webhooks with no volume cap. Pro adds unlimited team seats, multiple API key sets, and a dedicated account manager.

When do I get settled?

Settlement lands in your Uverus wallet. You can initiate a payout to your bank account at any time using the Transfers module in your dashboard.

How does test mode work?

Every merchant account starts in test mode — you can simulate full card, bank transfer, and USSD payment flows before going live. Test mode transactions are free and not counted towards any limits.

What do I need to go live?

Complete KYC by submitting your business documents — CAC certificate, Memorandum of Association, and proof of address. Our team reviews and approves submissions, typically within 1–2 business days.

Is there a cap on local transaction fees?

No — local transactions are charged at a flat 1.9% with no cap. The fee scales proportionally with the transaction amount across all local channels.

Can I use Uverus if I'm outside Nigeria?

The platform is designed for Nigerian businesses today, with checkout UI that supports international phone formats and international card acceptance. Multi-country merchant onboarding is on the roadmap.
